Our Waterproofing goes on smoothly, penetrating leather and leaving a waterproof seal on the surface. Skidmore’s Liquid Beeswax Woodfinish is a blend of natural oils and beeswax that was created to meet the needs of artisans, furniture makers and antique restorers. The Woodfinish penetrates wood while leaving some beeswax on the surface to protect wood and build a soft and warm glowing finish which brings out the grain of the wood. Skidmore’s Woodfinish is also excellent for recapturing and restoring older fine furniture finishes.

Skidmore’s Sealer has the same ingredients as our Woodfinish, but a lesser proportion of beeswax, making it ideal for sealing and protecting large surface areas of wood. Our Sealer is an excellent finish for log cabins, timber frames, decks and exterior siding, shingles, open beam and tongue-in-groove ceilings, wood panels, doors, moldings, and floors. Pigments and stains can be added to the Sealer for a variety of effects.
